PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods of diagnosing and treating disorders related to TH2 inhibition, including but not limited to asthma.SOLUTION: A method of identifying an asthma patient or a respiratory disorder patient who is likely to be responsive to treatment with a TH2 pathway inhibitor comprises determining whether or not the patient is Eosinophilic Inflammation Positive (EIP) using an Eosinophilic Inflammation Diagnostic Assay (EIDA), where the EIP status indicates that the patient is likely to be responsive to treatment with the TH2 pathway inhibitor.
