PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knockdown planter having retaining wall blocks readily connected adjacently without requiring a joint device, and quickly and reliably assembled into a free layout according to the size or shape of a site. SOLUTION: The retaining wall block 1 has a framework body 11, the framework body has a pair of rising side edge wall surfaces formed with a recessed joining portion 2 and a projecting joining portion 3, respectively, the retaining wall blocks 1 and 1 are adjoined such that a fitting portion 21 of the recessed joining portion 2 covers a fitted projection 32 of the projecting joining portion 3, a hooking flange 22 is put into a slit recessed groove 31, the recessed joining portion 2 and the projecting joining portion 3 overlap each other, and the adjacent retaining wall blocks 1 and 1 are connected with each other, and a plurality of retaining wall blocks 1, 1, ... are connected at both ends, so that the planter for surrounding a soil storing portion D is formed.
