PURPOSE: An image processing method, an apparatus thereof, and a medical imaging system using the same are provided to reduce a coated amount of a subject by reducing an amount of information required for a tomosynthesis process.CONSTITUTION: A first intermediate reconstructed image generation part(410) generates a first intermediate reconstructed image by applying a first iteration restoration algorithm in an original tomographic image. A second intermediate reconstructed image generation part(430) generates a second intermediate reconstructed image using the original tomographic image and the first intermediate reconstructed image. A re-projection part(431) converts the first intermediate reconstructed image into a sonogram. A differential image generation part(433) generates a differential image by calculating a difference between data extracted from the sonogram and the original tomographic image. An inverse projection part(435) applies an inverse projection technique to a signal to be reconstructed. A reconstructed image generation part(437) generates the second intermediate image which includes an edge element.
