PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant cultivation device that can be constituted at a low cost, has high workability for planting and harvesting, and has small moisture and temperature stresses to seedlings.SOLUTION: A plant cultivation device includes a cultivation bed 21 formed in a split cylinder surface shape split into a plurality of pieces, a plurality of pieces of seedling insertion hole 30 passed through in a surface of the cultivation bed 21, a lighting rod 24 that is arranged on the central axis of the cultivation bed 21, is formed into a rod-like body, and emits light from the whole peripheral surface of the rod-like body, a root blocking sheet 23 provided by coating the outer peripheral surface of the cultivation bed 21, a water-retention seat 22, and a plant cultivation tank 2 in which, among pairs of adjacent split cylinder surface parts of the cultivation bed 21, the split cylinder surfaces in question of one pair are locked together in a detachable manner by locking means, and other pairs except for the former pair are coupled rotatably by a hinge 28. At the time of planting and harvesting, each split cylinder surface part of the cultivation bed 21 is opened in a rotated manner about the hinge 28. Watering is performed by impregnating a nutritious liquid into the water-retention seat 22.
