The present invention relates to a device for diagnosing a subject&primes mental state using diagrams and colors, which comprises: a first database for storing the data on the mental state based on the result of a combination of selected diagrams and colors a second database for storing the data on the mental state based on the diagrams and colors drawn within a certain area a first diagnosing unit for providing multiple diagrams and colors to the subject to diagnose the mental state of the subject by combining the diagrams and colors selected by the subject and comparing them with the data stored in the first database a second diagnosing unit for providing the subject with an area for drawing pictures by using multiple diagrams and colors to diagnose the mental state of the subject by comparing the diagrams and colors drawn within the area by the subject with the data stored in the second database and, a diagnosis result providing unit for selecting or combining the diagnosis result of the first diagnosing unit and the diagnosis result of the second diagnosing unit to provide the diagnosis result of the mental state to the subject. Accordingly, the device and the method of the present invention can accurately diagnose the mental state of the subject by combining diagrams and colors.
