PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizing and antibacterial composition which is excellent in diffusion property and diffusion stability, has high deodorizing performance and antibacterial performance, and also keeps the deodorizing performance and antibacterial performance for a long term.
SOLUTION: The deodorizing and antibacterial composition is obtained by coating, with silica, the surfaces of titanium oxide particles where one kind or two or more kinds of deodorizing and antibacterial components, to be selected among silver, copper, zinc, tin, cobalt, nickel, and manganese, are supported, and the coating amount is within a range of 0.1-30 wt.%. The titanium oxide is anatase-type titanium oxide in the deodorizing and antibacterial composition, and the mean particle size is 2-300 nm.
