PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical probe preventing a sheath from being buckled if the optical probe is pressed on a subject or the like and an optical tomographic imaging apparatus equipped with the probe.
SOLUTION: The optical probe includes: the sheath which is a flexible tubular body with a translucent part on the outer surface an optical element disposed within the sheath to emit light from the translucent part a holder member disposed within the sheath to hold the optical element and a reinforcing member disposed in a region other than the translucent part on the outer surface of the sheath to reinforce the sheath.
