An ophthalmic photographing apparatus is provided with a SLO optical system including a first optical scanner for scanning a laser beam to obtain a front image of an examinees eye by the laser beam, a OCT optical system including a second optical scanner for scanning measurement light to obtain a tomographic image of the examinees eye by use of interference between the measurement light and reference light, an optical path combiner for combining optical paths of the SLO optical system and the OCT optical system, an objective lens system placed between the optical path combiner and the examinees eye, and a relay lens system placed between the second optical scanner and the optical path combiner. The second optical scanner is placed on a side closer to the relay lens system than a focal point distance of the relay lens is.
