A system and a method for recommending music which applied to a server are provided. The server is connected to at least one client and a database of music. The database of music includes music with its emotional value. The method includes a receiving step and a recommending step. The receiving step includes receiving a emotional value which is elected by a user from the client. The recommending step includes choosing a music whose emotional value is the most close to the emotional value X from the database of music according to a preset rule, and transmits the information of the chosen music to the client.本發明提供一種音樂推薦系統及方法，應用於伺服器中，該伺服器與至少一個用戶端以及一個音樂資料庫相連，所述音樂資料庫中儲存包含情感數值資訊的音樂，該方法包括：接收步驟，從用戶端接收該用戶端的使用者所選擇的情感數值X；推薦步驟，按照預設的規則從所述音樂資料庫中挑選出一首情感數值最接近X的音樂，並將該音樂的資訊發送給所述用戶端。
