PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid transport device and a liquid transport method for transporting liquid in high accuracy irrespective of a surrounding temperature around a tube.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a liquid transport device comprising a resilient tube; a plurality of fingers arranged side by side along liquid transport direction; a driving mechanism for driving a plurality of fingers; a temperature sensor for measuring a surrounding temperature of the tube; and a control part for controlling the driving mechanism in such a way that liquid in the tube is transported in a transport direction by repeating a closing operation in which the fingers crushes the tube and a releasing operation in which a shape of the crushed tube is recovered to cause the fingers to be pushed back, controlling the driving mechanism in such a way that a closing operation of the most-upstream side finger is started after the closing operation of a finger at the most-downstream side finger in a transporting direction is completed and after a releasing operation of the finger at the second order from the downstream side is completed, and controlling a driving amount of the driving mechanism on the basis of a result of measurement of the temperature sensor.【課題】チューブの周辺温度にかかわりなく、高精度に液体を輸送する液体輸送装置、及び、液体輸送方法を提供すること。【解決手段】弾性を有するチューブと、輸送方向に沿って並ぶ複数のフィンガーと、複数のフィンガーを駆動する駆動機構と、チューブの周辺温度を測定する温度センサーと、フィンガーがチューブを押し潰す閉鎖動作と押し潰されたチューブの形状が復元してフィンガーが押し戻される開放動作とが繰り返されることで、チューブの内部の液体が輸送方向に輸送されるように駆動機構を制御し、輸送方向の最下流側のフィンガーの閉鎖動作が完了し、下流側から2番目のフィンガーの開放動作が完了した後に、最上流側のフィンガーの閉鎖動作が開始するように駆動機構を制御し、温度センサーの測定結果に基づいて駆動機構の駆動量を補正して制御する制御部とを備える液体輸送装置。【選択図】図12
