PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gene activator of sirtuin which is an important in vivo molecule in relationship with metabolism, aging, and various kinds of diseases, and to provide an application thereof.SOLUTION: A sirtuin gene activator containing a shell membrane component is provided. The sirtuin gene activator is preferred to enhance expressions of one or more genes selected from the group consisting of sirtuin 1, sirtuin 2, sirtuin 3, sirtuin 4, sirtuin 5, sirtuin 6, and sirtuin 7. The composition containing the sirtuin gene activator is powder.
