An agricultural spraying apparatus and mixing tank is disclosed. The apparatus has a tank (20) configured to receive a volume of fluid and an opening (11) at an upper part of the tank for introduction of particulates into the volume of fluid. An impeller (21) mounted in a housing (22) within the tank causes a fluid flow through the housing, thereby creating fluid flow within the tank. One wall (38) of the tank may be shaped to receive this flow (36) so to send the flow up and over to create a turbulent water curtain at the opening to the tank. A spray arrangement including one or more spray outlets is fed from the tank. This arrangement allows for efficient mixing of the initial ingredients of the spray and the maintenance of the suspension.
