PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize MRI and MPI/MPH of a simple structure.
SOLUTION: A static magnetic field coil unit 11 and a static magnetic field power supply 12 generate a static magnetic field. A gradient magnetic field coil unit 13 and a gradient magnetic field power supply 14 superimpose a gradient magnetic field on the static magnetic field. An RF coil unit 19 and a transmitter 20 generate a first high-frequency magnetic field to be applied on a subject 200 positioned in the static magnetic field. The RF coil unit 19 and a receiver 21 receive a magnetic resonance signal emitted from the subject 200. A calculating unit 26 reconstructs an image on the subject 200 based on the received magnetic resonance signal. A repulsive magnetic field coil unit 15 and a repulsive magnetic field power supply 16 generate a repulsive magnetic field to offset a leakage magnetic field from a static magnetic field magnet and to form a zero magnetic field area. The RF coil unit 19 and a recording coil activating part 22 generate a second high-frequency magnetic field to be applied on the subject 200 positioned in the zero magnetic field area.
