In order to efficiently create an image for use in diagnosis, an X-ray CT apparatus and an imaging method according to the present invention are configured so that prior to actual imaging an operator is able to select a desired site from a site selection GUI using ROI objects stored in a storage device and having the same shapes as various sites and thereby arrange the ROI objects on a scanogram image. Site-based setting information is preliminarily assigned to each ROI object, and a region of interest is assigned in association with the site.
