The present invention relates to a novel bacteriophage ECOH1 specific to Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli and, more specifically, to an antibacterial composition comprising the bacteriophage ECOH1 specific to Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli. According to the present invention, the bacteriophage ECOH1 shows extremely high specificity to Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli； may be transfected into Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli to propagate inside the Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli, thereby showing excellent bacteriolytic activities； and is highly resistant to physicochemical stimuli. In addition, the bacteriophage ECOH1 of the present invention does not transfect hosts other than bacteria, such as humans, animals, and plants, and thus serves to solve the problems associated with antibiotic-resistant bacteria due to overuse and misuse of antibiotics, the problems associated with antibiotics remaining in food, and the problems associated with a broad range of hosts. Thus, the bacteriophage ECOH1 may be widely used in the fields relating to antibiotic compositions, feed additive compositions, feed, disinfectants, or detergents.본 발명은 신규한 시가톡신 생성 대장균 특이 박테리오파지 ECOH1에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게는 상기 시가톡신 생성 대장균 특이 박테리오파지 ECOH1을 포함하는 항균 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 박테리오파지 ECOH1은 시가톡신 생성 대장균에 대한 특이성이 매우 높고, 시가톡신 생성 대장균에 감염하여 시가톡신 생성 대장균 내에서 증식함으로써 용균 활성이 우수하며, 물리화학적 자극에 강하다는 장점을 가지고 있다. 또한 본 발명의 박테리오파지 ECOH1은 사람, 동물, 식물 등 세균 외의 다른 숙주에는 감염되지 않으므로, 항생제의 오남용으로 인한 항생제 내성균의 문제점, 식품 내의 항생제 잔류 문제, 광범위한 숙주범위의 문제점을 해결할 수 있는바, 항생용 조성물, 사료 첨가용 조성물, 사료, 소독제 또는 세척제 분야에서 다양하게 활용될 수 있다.
