PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a massage unit and a massage machine which increase a projecting amount of massage balls.SOLUTION: A massage unit 700 comprises a pair of treating elements 350, an advancing and retreating shaft 722 which forms a rocking fulcrum for advancing and retreating the pair of treating elements 350 to and from a treated person's body side, and a lift shaft 732 which moves the massage unit.
