The invention provides a pharmaceutical composition for use in the prophylactic and/or therapeutic treatment of a disease selected from the group consisting of hyperlipidemia, familial hyperlipidemia, diabetes mellitus, and metabolic syndrome, the composition comprising (R)-2-[3-[[N-(benzoxazol-2-yl)-N-3-(4-methoxyphenoxy)propyl] -aminomethyl]-phenoxy]butyric acid or a salt thereof, or a solvate thereof, or a solvate of a salt thereof and at least one statin, or a salt thereof, or a solvate thereof or a solvate of a salt thereof with the proviso that the at least one statin is not pitavastatin.
