The present invention relates to a leash for a companion dog. The leash comprises: a handle (10) which includes a grip portion (101) and connecting ring portions (102a, 102b)； a connecting line (20) whose one end portion is connected to the handle (10), and other end portion includes an engaging hook (201) capable of being connected to a leash worn on the neck of a companion dog or a harness worn on the body of the companion dog； a wrist strap (30) whose one end portion is connected to the handle (10)； and a lighting unit (40) which is formed on one side of the handle (10) to shine light downwardly from the handle (10).
