PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a food cutting device capable of facilitating the intrusion of a cutting blade into food at the initial stage of a start of cutting and reducing the deformation of the food, in the food cutting device which cuts the food by moving a food placing table to the cutting blade which is fixed in a both-end supported state.SOLUTION: The food cutting device includes the food placing table 5 on which the food 10 to be cut is placed, a driving mechanism 6 for moving the food placing table 5, and the cutting blade 3 fixed in a both-end supported posture in a moving trace of the food 10 moved together with the food placing table 5 by the driving mechanism 6 thereby cutting the food 10 into thin round slices.
