PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical treatment device which can prevent a medicine or the like applied on the external surface of a balloon from peeling before coming into contact with a lesion section, and at the same time, is excellent in approachability to the lesion section.SOLUTION: The medical treatment device 10A includes: the balloon 16 a bioactive substance section 18 which is applied onto the external surface of the balloon 16 and a linear member 20 which is arranged to be spirally wound around the balloon 16 from the outside of the bioactive substance section 18, and has flexibility. For the linear member 20, at least a part of the distal end side of the linear member 20 is arranged between the section which has spirally been wound around the balloon 16 and the balloon 16.
