The includes transmitting an ultrasound signal to an object and receiving a response signal reflected from the object acquiring information regarding a diagnostic apparatus connected to the ultrasound probe determining a type of data that may be processed by the diagnostic apparatus based on the information regarding the diagnostic apparatus generating transmission data corresponding to the determined type of data from the response signal and transmitting the transmission data to the diagnostic apparatus.
