Disclosed is a method for authenticating a registered user ID by using an electrocardiogram signal. According to one embodiment, the user ID authenticating method by using an electrocardiogram signal comprises the steps of: identifying a first electrocardiogram signal measured from a user to be authenticated； determining a similarity between the first electrocardiogram signal and one or more second electrocardiogram signals by using one or more second electrocardiogram signal contained in a reference electrocardiogram signal set which is a comparing target of the identified first electrocardiogram signal； determining an authenticating critical value corresponding to the reference electrocardiogram signal set； and comparing the determined similarity with the authenticating critical value to determine whether the measured first electrocardiogram signal of the user is authenticated or not. Therefore, user can be authenticated.심전도 신호를 이용하여 등록된 사용자의 신분 인증하는 방법이 개시된다. 일 실시예에 따른 심전도 신호를 사용하여 사용자의 신분 인증 방법은 신분 인증하려는 사용자로부터 측정한 제1 심전도 신호를 식별하고, 식별된 제1 심전도 신호와 비교 대상인 참조 심전도 신호 세트에 포함된 하나 이상의 제2 심전도 신호를 이용하여, 제1 심전도 신호와 하나 이상의 제2 심전도 신호의 유사도를 결정하고, 참조 심전도 신호 세트와 대응하는 인증 임계값을 결정하며, 결정된 유사도와 인증 임계값을 비교하여 사용자의 측정된 제1 심전도 신호의 인증 여부를 결정함으로써 사용자의 신분 인증을 할 수 있다.
