La présente invention concerne plus particulièrement une composition contenant un peptide d'osmotine utilisé comme principe actif pour la prévention, l'atténuation ou le traitement du diabète par la confirmation d'une diminution notable de la glycémie dans un modèle de souris auquel a été induite une obésité, et qui a ensuite été traité avec ledit peptide d'osmotine.본 발명은 오스모틴 펩타이드를 유효성분으로 함유하는 당뇨의 예방, 개선 또는 치료용 조성물에 관한 것이다. 상세하게는 모델쥐에 대하여 비만을 유도한 후, 오스모틴 펩타이드를 처리하여 혈중 글루코오스의 함량이 현저하게 줄어든 것을 확인함으로써, 오스모틴 펩타이드를 유효성분으로 함유하는 당뇨의 예방, 개선 또는 치료용 조성물을 제공하고자 하였다.
