PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical treatment instrument gripping device capable of reliably holding a posture of an articulated body.SOLUTION: A medical treatment instrument gripping device 1 includes: an articulated body 6 formed by coupling a plurality of joint elements 9 and holding a medical treatment instrument 7 at a distal end； a wire W that is inserted through the respective joint elements 9 and, one end of which is fixed to the distal end of the articulated body 6； and wire operation means connected to the other end of the wire W.
