PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand-held dental device in which a crisis situation in a dentists office is effectively prevented, and each diagnosis and treatment booth of a dentist can be fulfilled by only one light curing device.SOLUTION: A hand-held light curing apparatus is used with a housing (12), a light source (14), in particular at least one LED, which is connected to a control unit (36), an energy source (20) and at least one energy storage unit in the form of at least one double layer capacitor (26, 28).
