PURPOSE: A method for cultivating plants using ultrasonic waves and an apparatus thereof are provided to selectively transfer ultrasonic waves for growing plants to only desired plants. CONSTITUTION: A method for cultivating plants using ultrasonic waves generates sound waves by using a directional speaker on plants with ultrasonic waves toward a specific direction. The frequency of the sound waves is within 1 Hz-3 kHz. The frequency of the ultrasonic waves is 20-36 kHz. The sound pressure of the ultrasonic waves is 65-80 dB. The directional speaker emits sound singles in a zone of audibility by a non-linear property of a medium which is air.
