The present utility model is directed to a method of disinfecting a surface of an object comprising delivering of a liquid disinfectant onto the surface of the object. The disinfectant is delivered to the surface of the object through a porous material that is pre-moistened with the liquid disinfectant. Further, the size of the porous material and the amount of the disinfectant are determined based on the dimensions of the surface of the object being treated thereby making the present utility model a cost-effective means for disinfecting surfaces of objects.
