PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide oil compositions that can substitute for cyclomethicone in a compound, particularly in a cosmetic compound as a result of having a very similar characteristic to the physicochemical and sensuous characteristics of cyclomethicone for which potential adverse influences on human health are feared.SOLUTION: The invention provides a volatile oily composition comprising: (a) 50-100% by weight of a mixture of normal paraffins consisting of (i) 70-99% by weight of at least one normal paraffin selected from the paraffins of C, C, and C, and mixtures thereof and (ii) 1-30% by weight of at least one normal paraffin of C-C； and (b) 0-50% by weight of at least one non-volatile-oil, as well as preferably consisting of (a) and (b).
