Disclosed is a pharmaceutical composition comprised of one SGLT-2 inhibitor compound in combination with a second therapeutic agent which is suitable for the treatment of one or more metabolic disorders, wherein i) said one SGLT-2 inhibitor compound is the glucopyranosyl-substituted benzene derivative: l-chloro-4-(,8-D-glucopyranos-l-yl)-2-[ 4-((S)-tetrahydrofuran-3-yloxy)benzyl]- benzene and ii) said second therapeutic agent which is suitable for the treatment of one or more metabolic disorders is metformin and wherein the SGLT -2 inhibitor compound and the second therapeutic agent are present in a single dosage form, and wherein the composition is adapted to provide a dosage of the SGLT-2 inhibitor compound which is in the range from 10 to 50 mg per day and a dosage of the second therapeutic agent which is in the range from 500 to 1000 mg per day.
