PURPOSE: A flowerpot having automatic watering function is provided to prevent plants inside the flowerpot from withering or dying without periodically watering the plants. CONSTITUTION: A flowerpot having automatic watering function comprises the following: an inner cylinder(20) for storing soil； an outer cylinder(30) separately formed around the inner cylinder for forming a fresh water space unit(40)； a bottom unit(50) integrating the inner and outer cylinders； a connection waterway(52) penetrating the bottom unit, connected to the fresh water space unit； a water supply pipe(54) opening and closing by an opening/closing unit and the connection waterway； an overflow protrusion installed around the edge of the water supply pipe； a guide dome(90) surrounding the upper edge of the water supply pipe for overflowing water supplied from the water supply pipe over the overflow protrusion； and a soil loading unit(58) formed around the outer edge of the overflow protrusion.본 발명은 토양이 담기는 내통과； 상기 내통의 외측 둘레에 일정간격 이격된 위치에 형성되어 상기 내통과의 사이에 담수공간부를 형성하는 외통과； 상기 내통 및 외통을 일체로 연결하는 바닥부와； 상기 바닥부의 내측 중앙에 횡방향으로 관통형성되어 상기 담수공간부와 연통되는 연결수로와； 상기 연결수로와 개폐수단에 의해 개폐되며, 상기 바닥부의 중앙부위로부터 일정높이만큼 축설되는 급수관과； 상기 급수관의 주변 둘레에 일정높이로 돌설되는 오버플로우 단턱부와； 상기 급수관의 상부 둘레를 감싸서 상기 급수관을 통해 공급되는 물이 상기 오버플로우 단턱부를 타고 넘어가도록 안내하는 가이드 돔을 포함하는 구성으로 이루어진 자동급수 기능을 갖는 화분을 제공하며, 이에 따라 화분의 둘레에 형성된 담수공간부에 일정량의 물을 담수시키기만 하면, 이 물이 소량씩 토양에 자동으로 공급됨으로써, 화분에 주기적으로 물주기를 하지 않더라도 화분에 심겨진 화초가 말라죽게 되는 것을 예방할 수 있는 효과가 제공된다.
