The present invention relates to a method for supporting to determine cancer metastasis from a bone scan image of a subject and an apparatus using the same. The method comprises: identifying a cancer metastatic suspicious area from a bone scan image by a computing apparatus when the bone scan image is input； determining a level of the cancer metastatic suspicious area according to predetermined criteria； and supporting to determine cancer metastasis by calculating a quantified value of the cancer metastasis. Therefore, the accuracy and efficiency of the determination can be increased.본 발명은 피검체의 뼈 스캔(bone scan) 영상에 있어서 암 전이 여부의 판정을 지원하는 방법 및 이를 이용한 장치에 관한 것이다. 구체적으로, 본 발명에 따른 방법에 의하면, 상기 뼈 스캔 영상이 입력되면, 컴퓨팅 장치가, 상기 뼈 스캔 영상으로부터 암 전이 의심 영역을 식별하고, 소정의 판정 기준에 따라 상기 암 전이 의심 영역에 대한 등급을 판별하며, 상기 암 전이 여부에 관한 정량화 수치를 산출함으로써 상기 암 전이 여부의 판정을 지원한다.
