A lawnmower comprises a deck 1 supported by wheels； a first 2 or a second 3 height-adjusting mechanisms mounted on the deck selectively, the first or second height-adjusting equipment respectively including at least a first or a second axle 21 for disposing the wheels； a cutter operatively located within the deck； a motor operatively mounted on the deck for powering the cutter； and a lawn-pressing device such as a roller 42 which connects to either of the first or second height-adjusting equipment selectively. The invention has the advantage of simplifying the structure of the deck whereby the two height adjusting mechanisms can used with the same deck and same roller connection (41), connecting the roller to the axle/s 21 thereby reducing the costs.
