PURPOSE: A mass-production method of astragalus membranaceus calluses is provided to induce the callus generation with the high rate by putting a cut tissue of astragalus membranaceus on a callus induction medium. CONSTITUTION: A mass-production method of astragalus membranaceus calluses comprises the following steps: sterilizing astragalus membranaceus seeds； culturing the sterilized astragalus membranaceus seeds in vitro； cutting leaves or stems of the cultured astragalus membranaceus； and putting the cut tissues on a callus induction medium for inducing the callus generation.본 발명은 황기의 캘러스를 고효율로 발생시키는 방법에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게는 황기 종자를 소독하여 기내배양하거나 자연 발육된 황기의 줄기 또는 잎을 2,4-디클로로페녹시아세트산이 포함된 캘러스 유도 배지에 치상하여 캘러스를 발생시키는 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 방법은 황기 캘러스를 발생시키는데 있어 최적의 황기 부위, 최적의 배지 조성 및 최적의 소독 조건을 찾아낸 것으로 이를 이용하여 황기 캘러스를 대량 배양 할 수 있으며 다양한 황기 성분이 함유된 식, 의약품 또는 화장품 개발에 유용하게 사용할 수 있다.
