PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote operation type drain plug device capable of lifting and lowering a valve body without reference to whether an operation is done based upon a manual operation or an electric signal, the remote operation type drain plug device being enabled to operate without being made large-sized and in an electric power saving mode and facilitating control over a drive member.SOLUTION: A driven member 13 makes a vertical rectilinear movement associatively with an action on a manual switch part 11 when the manual switch part 11 is pressed.
