The present invention provides an absorbent article that can sufficiently and efficiently exhibit the deodorizing function of cyclodextrin and the active ingredient controlled release function of cyclodextrin complexes. This absorbent article (1) includes a liquid permeable layer (2) a liquid impermeable layer (3) an absorption layer (SA) that is positioned between the abovementioned layers and a cyclodextrin containing layer that is positioned between the absorption layer (SA) and the liquid impermeable layer (3).
