A threshing device for a whole culm-charging-type combine harvester is provided with a threshing frame (14) for supporting a threshing cylinder and a receiving net (18) and an openable side wall (16) capable of opening and closing an opening (24) through which the threshing cylinder (17) and the receiving net (18) can be made to face out to the side of the combine body. The threshing frame (14) is provided with a frame section (14A) for forming the opening (24). The side wall (16) is provided with a holding mechanism (B), which swings vertically between a lower closed position that closes the opening (24) and an upper open position that opens the opening (24) with a front-to-back spindle (26) as a fulcrum and which makes it possible to hold the side wall (16) in the open position. The holding mechanism (B) is disposed on the back rim portion (14Aa) of the frame section (14A).
