The present disclosure relates to a bone plate configured for use with a bone having a peripheral fracture. For example, if the proximal femur is fractured in the area near the surrounding elements, such as the femoral stem used in place of the hip joint, the peripheral bone plate of the present invention may be used. In one exemplary embodiment, the peripheral bone plate includes a plurality of central apertures and a peripheral region having a plurality of outer apertures offset from the plurality of central apertures.
