A medical gas mixture for use as an inhalation medicinal product (medicament) comprises oxygen and carbon dioxide having a carbon dioxide content between 100 ppm and 2000 ppm, preferably between 200 ppm and 600 ppm. The gas mixture according to the invention is used in all kind of oxygen therapies instead of pure medical oxygen.
