The pharmaceutical composition according to claim 1 or 2, further comprising a substance that prevents agglomeration. ! 4. A method of producing microparticles of octreotide acetate, comprising the steps of:! a) dissolving or dispersing octreotide acetate in methylene chloride containing a dissolved linear copolymer of lactide with glycolide, to obtain a dispersion; ! b) combining said dispersion with an effective amount of a continuous working medium to obtain an emulsion that contains said continuous working medium and microdroplets comprising said octreotide acetate, said solvent and said linear copolymer of lactide with glycolide; and! C) immediately after the formation of the specified emulsion of a single addition of the specified emulsion to an effective amount of an extracting medium for extracting the specified solvent from these microdroplets with obtaining these microparticles. ! 5.
