PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for growing floating seaweed enabling stable culture of seaweed at high efficiency and provided with a small lighting device. SOLUTION: The device for growing floating seaweed includes: a culturing water tank 2 where an aqueous solution S and seaweeds M are kept; a growth illumination device 3 applying light toward the aqueous solution S in the culturing water tank 2; and a stirring device 4 making the aqueous solution S in the culturing water tank 2 circulate, wherein the stirring device 4 is provided with a gathering part 5 where a plurality of circulation paths C1, C2 of the aqueous solution S are superimposed on each other, and the growth illumination device 3 applies the light toward the gathering part 5.
