This disclosure provides a method for treating a subject afflicted with a urothelial carcinoma or cancer derived therefrom, which method comprises administering to the subject an antibody or an antigen-binding portion thereof that specifically binds to a Programmed Death-1 (PD-1) receptor and inhibits PD-1 activity or the combination of (a) an antibody or an antigen-binding portion thereof that specifically binds to a PD-1 receptor and inhibits PD-1 activity； and (b) an antibody or an antigen-binding portion thereof that specifically binds to a Cytotoxic T- Lymphocyte Antigen-4 (CTLA-4) and inhibits CTLA-4 activity.L'invention concerne une méthode de traitement d'un individu atteint d'un carcinome urothélial ou d'un cancer dérivé de celui-ci, laquelle méthode consiste à administrer au patient un anticorps ou une partie de liaison à l'antigène de celui-ci qui se lie spécifiquement à un récepteur de mort cellulaire programmée 1 (PD-1) et inhibe l'activité de PD-1, ou la combinaison de (a) un anticorps ou une partie de liaison à l'antigène de celui-ci qui se lie spécifiquement à un récepteur PD-1 et inhibe l'activité de PD-1, et (b) un anticorps ou une partie de liaison à l'antigène de celui-ci qui se lie spécifiquement à un antigène 4 associé au lymphocyte T cytotoxique (CTLA-4) et inhibe l'activité de CTLA-4.
