An object of the present disclosure is to provide a method of continuously producing an absorbent article in which powder is less likely to drop off from the cut-off trim sections. The method of the present disclosure is as follows. A method of continuously producing an absorbent article 101 from an absorbent article continuous body 1 including a plurality of absorbent articles 101, and a trim section to be cut 3 comprising a skin-contacting layer 117, clothing-contacting layer 121 and a powder layer 5 between them, including the steps of preparing the absorbent article continuous body 1, separating each of the plurality of the absorbent articles 101 and the trim section 3 by cutting the absorbent article continuous body 1 at the border lines 7 partitioning each of the plurality of the absorbent articles 101 and the trim section 3, while compressing the peripheral regions 79 of the border lines 7, and removing away the trim section 3.
