The present invention relates to a wheelchair with an apparatus to prevent a reverse rotation of wheels. According to the present invention, the wheelchair with the apparatus to prevent a reverse rotation comprises: a ratchet gear which has a detent to be engaged with a gear mounted on the shaft of a wheel of the wheelchair in accordance with preset conditions and to control the reverse rotation of the wheel； a hub whose one end is combined with the bottom frame of the wheelchair and whose other end is extended in a radial direction of the wheel of the wheelchair to be combined with the detent； a length control unit mounted on the frame of an armrest of the wheelchair； and a wire extended from the length control unit towards the rear side along the frame of the armrest to be placed along a vertical frame vertically combined from an end of the frame of the armrest towards a shaft of the wheel of the wheelchair, thereby connecting the length control unit to one end of the hub. When a length of the wire is controlled in accordance with an operation of the length control unit, an end of the hub moves forward and backward in a radial direction of the wheel of the wheelchair to make the detent engaged with the gear or disengaged from the gear. Accordingly, the present invention is able to limit the rotation and prevent the wheelchair from moving in the opposite direction on a slope such as an incline, thereby preventing an accident such as an overturn of the wheelchair for a patient or a disabled person.본 발명은 역회전 방지장치가 구비된 휠체어에 관한 것으로서, 휠체어 바퀴의 축에 장착되는 기어와 설정된 조건에 따라 기어에 맞물려 바퀴의 역회전을 제어하는 멈춤쇠를 구비하는 라쳇기어； 일단이 휠체어의 하부 프레임에 결합되고 타단이 휠체어 바퀴의 반경방향을 향하여 연장되어 멈춤쇠에 결합되는 허브； 휠체어의 팔걸이 프레임에 장착되는 길이 조정부； 및 길이 조정부에서 팔걸이 프레임을 따라 후방으로 연장되고, 팔걸이 프레임의 종단에서 휠체어 바퀴의 축을 향하여 수직으로 결합되는 수직 프레임을 따라 배치되어, 길이 조정부와 허브의 일단을 연결하는 와이어；를 포함하며, 허브는 길이 조정부의 작동에 따라 와이어의 길이가 조정되면, 허브의 종단이 휠체어 바퀴의 반경방향을 따라 전후로 이동하면서 멈춤쇠를 기어에 맞물려지게 하거나 맞물림을 해제시킨다.본 발명에 의하면, 오르막길과 같은 경사로에서 휠체어가 경사로의 반대 방향으로 이동하지 않도록 회전을 제한하
