PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of improving liquid absorption efficiency.SOLUTION: A disposable diaper 10 comprises: a liquid permeable top sheet 11； a liquid impermeable back sheet 12； and an absorber 13 interposed between the respective sheets 11, 12. The absorber 13 has first liquid absorption parts 27 formed of a high water absorptive polymer, the first liquid absorption parts 27 are respectively provided on each of both end sides of the absorber 13 in a width direction. The absorber 13 has a pair of groove parts 31 extending in a longitudinal direction. The first liquid absorption parts 27 are arranged adjacent to the groove part 31 on both sides sandwiching respective groove part 31. Each first liquid absorption part 27 has a first sheet material 37, the first sheet materials 37 are folded on the groove part 31 side, and both sides sandwiching the folded part are arranged on both surfaces of the first liquid absorption part 27 in a thickness direction. Both side parts of respective first sheet material 37 are fixed to both surfaces, and not fixed to the folded part on opposite sides.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
