PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reception data processing apparatus of photoacoustic tomography which may perform image reconstruction of photoacoustic tomography at a high speed with a small-scaled configuration.SOLUTION: A reception data processing apparatus of photoacoustic tomography includes: minimum constitutional unit data synthesis means 3 which synthesizes minimum constitutional unit data of an acoustic wave in each minimum constitutional unit by sequentially reading reception digital signals derived from each minimum constitutional unit from first storage means 2-N to perform phasing addition in accordance with delay information of the acoustic wave from each minimum constitutional unit of an analyte region to each acoustic wave reception element second storage means 5 which can store minimum constitutional unit data of the entire analyte region image construction means 9 which constructs an image of the analyte on the basis of the minimum constitutional unit data stored in the second storage means and control means 4 which sequentially stores each minimum constitutional unit data calculated by the minimum constitutional unit data synthesis means in the second storage means and reads the stored minimum constitutional unit data of the entire analyte region to send it to the image construction means.【課題】小規模な構成で、高速に光音響トモグラフィの画像再構成を行いうる光音響トモグラフィの受信データ処理装置を提供する。【解決手段】被検体領域の各最小構成単位から各音響波受信素子への音響波の遅延情報に従い、第一の記憶手段2-Nより各最小構成単位由来の受信デジタル信号を順次読み出し整相加算して各最小構成単位における音響波の最小構成単位データを合成する最小構成単位データ合成手段3と、被検体領域全体の最小構成単位データを保存可能な第二の記憶手段5と、第二の記憶手段に保存された最小構成単位データに基づき被検体の画像を構成する画像構成手段9と、最小構成単位データ合成手段によって演算された各最小構成単位データを順次第二の記憶手段に記憶し、記憶された被検体領域全体の最小構成単位データを読み出して画像構成手段に送る制御手段4と、を具備してなる。【選択図】図1
