PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-woven fabric having high liquid permeability, and hardly causing the return of a liquid.
SOLUTION: The non-woven fabric 10 includes heat-extending fibers extending the length thereof by heating, and has a plurality of protruding parts 19 and recessed parts 18 on one surface side. The heat-extending fibers composing the protruding parts 19 are fused in intersection points thereof. The strength of the fusion is higher in the upper parts than in the lower parts of the protruding parts 19. The heat-extending fibers composing the protruding parts 19 preferably have a lower degree of hydrophilicity in the upper parts than in the lower parts of the protruding parts 19. Furthermore, in the protruding parts 19, the fiber density is preferably lower in the upper parts than in the lower parts thereof.
