The present invention relates to a herbal composition comprising extract of the plant lndigofera heterantha (previously Indigofera gerardiana). The invention also relates to a process for the preparation of the herbal composition. The invention further relates to the use of the herbal composition for the treatment of viral infection, particularly caused by herpes simplex viruses.Linvention concerne une composition à base de plante médicinale contenant un extrait de la plante Indigofera heterantha.
