<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify a gene associated with photosynthesis, e.g. a gene repressing the photosynthesis in a plant, and to regulate the photosynthesis of the plant. <；P>；SOLUTION: There are provided the gene repressing the photosynthesis, the transformed plant in which the expression of the gene is reduced, and the transformed plant in which the expression of the gene is enhanced, etc. As a result, the photosynthetic ability of the plant can be regulated to enable a plant useful for the clean-up of the environment, a plant having improved productivity of a crop, etc., to be created. For example, the plant having the enhanced photosynthetic ability has the high photosynthetic ability to enable a light energy to be efficiently utilized in the production of the crop.
