PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonwoven fabric in which a contact area with a skin is reduced to provide a gentle feeling for the skin, shape retainability of the nonwoven fabric is excellent under seating pressure by a wearer, the contact area with the skin remains low under a high load, and an amount of liquid return is reduced.SOLUTION: The nonwoven fabric comprises a first protruding portion 11 protruding to a first surface side Z1 which is a side when a sheet-like nonwoven fabric 10 is planarly viewed and having an internal space 11K, and a second protruding portion 12 protruding to a second surface side Z2 which is an opposite side to the first surface side Z1 and having an internal space 12K. The first and second protruding portions 11 and 12 are alternately and continuously arranged in different intersectional directions, respectively, when the nonwoven fabric 10 is planarly viewed. A top portion 11T of the first protruding portion 11 on the first surface side Z1 includes a small protruding portion 21 having a smaller external diameter than that of the first protruding portion 11.
