PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair capable of easily and reliably stopping the drop of the wheelchair in the middle of stairs.SOLUTION: A belt movement mechanism 9 that can be grounded is arranged beneath a seat frame. The belt movement mechanism 9 includes: a belt frame 43 that is long in a front and rear direction front and rear pulleys 41, 42 and an endless belt 44 that can be grounded. A wheelchair includes a stopping mechanism 81 for stopping the movement due to the belt movement mechanism 9.
